Terms of service
The rules for posting jobs, buying an annual plan and using the hireDiverse job board. Written in plain language, with no automatic renewals and no hidden fees.
Last updated: 25 August 2026
These terms
These terms of service apply to your use of hirediverse.ca, the hireDiverse job board, and any job posting, annual plan or other service you purchase from us (together, the “services”). hireDiverse is a Canadian job board and employment equity solution, referred to here as “we”, “us” or “hireDiverse”.
By using the services you agree to these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind that organization.
Accounts
Employer accounts are created on our job board. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us right away at hi@hirediverse.ca if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
You must provide accurate organization and contact information, and keep it current so we can reach you about postings and invoices.
Job postings
You are responsible for the content of every posting you publish, including its accuracy, its compensation information, and its compliance with applicable employment, human rights, accessibility and privacy law.
Postings must be for real, currently available roles. We do not accept:
- Postings that are discriminatory, or that exclude candidates on a ground protected by human rights legislation.
- Multi-level marketing, commission-only recruitment schemes, unpaid work presented as employment, or roles that require a candidate to pay a fee.
- Postings that are misleading about the employer, the role, the location or the pay.
- Content that infringes another party’s intellectual property or that includes malware or harmful links.
We may edit formatting for consistency, and we may decline, unpublish or remove a posting that does not meet these terms or our editorial standards. Where we remove a posting for a policy breach, no refund is issued.
Pricing, invoicing and payment
Current pricing for single job ads and annual plans is shown on our pricing page. Prices are in Canadian dollars and exclude applicable taxes, which are added at invoicing.
Single job ads are paid before publication unless we have agreed to invoice you. Annual plans are invoiced for the plan term and are payable on the terms stated on the invoice, typically net 30. Purchase orders and vendor onboarding are accommodated where required.
Annual plans do not renew automatically. We will contact you before your term ends, and a new term begins only when you confirm it in writing.
Cancellations and refunds
A single job ad can be cancelled for a full refund any time before it is published. Once a posting is live it has been delivered, so it is not refundable, but we will work with you to amend, pause or replace it with another role at no additional cost.
Annual plans can be cancelled within 14 days of the invoice date for a full refund if no postings have been published. After that, fees for the term are non-refundable, and unused postings do not carry forward past the end of the term.
What we deliver
We publish and distribute your postings through the hireDiverse job board and our community and partner channels, and we provide the reporting described on your plan.
We do not guarantee a specific number of applications, candidate hires, or outcomes from any posting. Hiring decisions and candidate assessment are yours alone, and we are not a recruitment agency, staffing agency, or party to any employment relationship you form.
Job seekers
Using the job board to browse and apply for roles is free. Applications, including any resume or documents you submit, are delivered to the employer that posted the role and are handled under that employer’s own privacy and hiring practices.
You agree that the information you submit is accurate and yours to share. Any self-identification you choose to provide is voluntary.
Acceptable use
You agree not to scrape, crawl, harvest or bulk-download job postings, candidate details or other content from the services; interfere with or attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems; use the services to send spam or unsolicited recruitment messages; or resell access to the services without our written agreement.
We may suspend access where use of the services threatens the security, stability or lawful operation of the platform.
Content and intellectual property
You keep ownership of the content you submit, including your postings, logo and employer branding. You grant us a non-exclusive licence to host, display, reproduce and distribute that content for the purpose of delivering and promoting your posting, including in our newsletters, partner distribution and social channels, and to identify you as a client.
We keep ownership of the hireDiverse website, job board, brand, reports and written materials. You may use our reports internally and in your own equity reporting, with attribution, but you may not resell them.
Third-party services and links
The services rely on third-party providers, including our job board platform, email platform, hosting, database and payment processing. Parts of the services, including applicant tracking integrations and scheduling links, are operated by those providers under their own terms.
Our site and blog link to third-party sites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content or practices.
Privacy
Personal information is handled as described in our privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
Disclaimers and liability
The services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We work to keep the site and job board available and accurate, but we do not warrant uninterrupted service, error-free content, or the accuracy of postings or candidate information submitted by others.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, including lost profits, lost opportunities or hiring costs. Our total liability for any claim relating to the services is limited to the amount you paid us for the services in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under applicable consumer protection legislation that cannot be limited by agreement.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify hireDiverse against claims, damages and reasonable costs arising from content you submit, from your use of the services in breach of these terms, or from your hiring and employment decisions.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using the services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access, with notice where practical, if you materially breach these terms, if an invoice remains unpaid after we have followed up, or if required by law. Amounts already owed remain payable.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as our services change. The revision date below reflects the current version, and material changes will be highlighted on this page. Changes do not apply retroactively to an annual plan term already invoiced.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of New Brunswick and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and the courts of New Brunswick have jurisdiction over any dispute. Before starting a formal claim, both of us agree to try to resolve the issue directly.
