Passover (Pesach)

Theravāda New Year

Sri Lankan New Year (Aluth Avurudu & Puthandu)

This festival marks the sun’s transition into Aries, coinciding with harvest cycles. The Sinhalese celebration, Aluth Avurudu, and the Tamil festival, Puthandu, emphasize family bonds, astrology, and traditional feasts. Good Friday

Ridván Festival

Date: April 21–May 2, 2025

Ridván, meaning “paradise” in Arabic, is the holiest festival in the Bahá'í Faith. It commemorates Bahá'u'lláh’s declaration as a messenger of God. Observances include prayer, community gatherings, and reflections on unity and peace. The 1st, 9th, and 12th days are considered holy and work is suspended. 

Earth Day
